After graduating from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Jim began his surety career in 1988 with Western Surety Company in their Dallas Branch. In 1993, he became Senior Commercial Surety Underwriter with Titan Indemnity Company in San Antonio. By 1998, Jim’s expertise
of the Texas surety market landed him the Texas Branch Manager position with American Contractors Indemnity Company (ACIC). Jim opened ACIC’s first Texas branch office in Austin, and later moved the branch to San Antonio.

In 2002, after 14 years as a surety company executive, Jim retired from the “company side” of the surety business, devoting his full time to establishing Alamo Surety Bonds as a major bond producer in Texas.

Jim is a leader in the local surety bond community. He is currently President of The Surety Association of South Texas, Inc., a non-profit association advocating the use and benefits of surety bonds. In addition, he is designated by the American Insurance Institute as an Associate in Fidelity and Surety Bonding (AFSB). Jim Swindle is a featured speaker on the subject of contract surety bonds, making several presentations each year at various bond seminars and workshops.

Ms. Kim began her insurance career as a Farmers agent in 1996 in San Antonio, TX. When her clients began needing more commercial lines, including surety bonds, she retired from Farmers and became an independent agent in 2002.
