After graduating from the University of North
Texas with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Jim began
his surety career in 1988 with Western Surety Company in their
Dallas Branch. In 1993, he became Senior Commercial Surety
Underwriter with Titan Indemnity Company in San Antonio. By
1998, Jim’s expertise
of the Texas surety market landed him the Texas Branch Manager
position with American Contractors Indemnity Company (ACIC).
Jim opened ACIC’s first Texas branch office in Austin,
and later moved the branch to San Antonio.
In 2002, after 14 years as a surety company
executive, Jim retired from the “company side”
of the surety business, devoting his full time to establishing
Alamo Surety Bonds as a major bond producer in Texas.
Jim is a leader
in the local surety bond community. He is currently President
of The Surety Association of South Texas, Inc., a non-profit
association advocating the use and benefits of surety bonds.
In addition, he is designated by the American Insurance Institute
as an Associate in Fidelity and Surety Bonding (AFSB). Jim
Swindle is a featured speaker on the subject of contract surety
bonds, making several presentations each year at various bond
seminars and workshops.
Ms. Kim began her insurance career as
a Farmers agent in 1996 in San Antonio, TX. When her clients
began needing more commercial lines, including surety bonds,
